We are enjoying a remarkable experience at Schaumburg Christian! Academically, the smaller class sizes allow for deeper instruction of curriculum. AP courses are offered along with dual credit and independent study for upperclassmen. Athletically, there are a variety of sports offered at the middle and HS level. The coaching staff is skillful in motivating players to have a healthy mind, body, and spirit and in promoting the celebration of Christ with sportsmanship in competition. They develop and nurture the whole child and offer fabulous family opportunities. We left the public school in our town to have an educational environment that supports and builds on family values. SCS was everything we hoped for and more. Additionally, while some private high schools are not attainable financially, SES offers all of these fabulous qualities at a price most families can afford. I am not just a parent, I am also a former public school teacher, I fully endorse the expertise of the staff and administration at Schaumburg Christian!

Bellesini Academy is an amazing school. They have great teachers and staff who care about each student and family. They provide on going support for high school and college. I am proud to be part of this community.

We enrolled our older son at SJND for his first year in TK, and we absolutely fell in love with it! Now, six years later, both of our sons attend this school, and we couldn't be happier with everything they experience. Every teacher and support staff member has gone above and beyond to educate our children not only academically as students but also as disciples of Christ. Teachers are not only knowledgeable about their craft but are also caring, kind, and supportive. Every teacher sends out a weekly newsletter with updates and is always available in a timely manner for questions. The school offers a wonderful curriculum that is engaging and challenging but also meets the needs of those students who may require additional support. Not only do students learn the basics, but they are also offered additional opportunities during their school day including STEM, fine art, music, PE, and library. There are a multitude of additional opportunities outside of regular school hours including athletics (basketball, volleyball, golf, flag football, track/field, cross country), choir, theater arts, diocesan academic competitions (Aca Deca, Religious Bowl, Mental Math Bowl, Speech Contest), robotics (junior, middle school, and Hydrogen Grand Prix), and Guardians, a fraternal group for young men 5th grade and up. My sons are thriving academically and have grown comfortable in and proud of their Catholic faith. The community is always supportive, and there are plenty of opportunities for families to get together and for parents to volunteer their time and talents. I always feel seen and heard by not only other families/parents but also by the administration. My husband and I love attending not only social events such as Oktoberfest, the Auction and Gala, and monthly parent meetings, but we also enjoy the opportunities for growing in our faith through school-wide book studies, prayerful speakers, and weekly school Mass. SJND goes above and beyond!

Magill has been a great school for our children. We were skeptical when we initially moved but through engagement with administration, we have gained confidence in their goals and care for the children.

The rudest teachers I’ve ever encountered. An English teacher was constantly screaming and releasing her anger onto the class. This teacher also yelled at me, called me a waste of space and kicked me out of the class for forgetting my charger. When we brought this up to the office they laughed it off and said they constantly received complaints about her and nothing was done to fix her attitude problem. She is still employed here years later. A chemistry teacher here was constantly judging my appearance. She scoffed at me because my shirt accidentally slipped down during class, she laughed at me because I was wearing a Harley Davidson shirt, she made a fat joke about me in front of the entire class, and worst of all would call students racial slurs underneath her breath, and was visibly nicer to white students. Once again when this was brought up to the office they said they received many complaints about her and proceeded to do nothing about it. Luckily she has retired. Do not send your children to this school. The staff is rude and dismissive, many students ended their lives while I was attending.

They let kids of opposite genders change in the same locker room. A bio-girl changes in the boys locker room and a bio-boy changes in the girls locker room. My daughter is friends with the girl and she tells my daughter that she likes boys yet, she is allowed to change in the boys locker room and how she watches the boys change. My daughter also shared that they called her in and asked what her preferred name and gender is. They also told her that they would not tell or share this with her parents

I’m not saying the school is fine. I’m not saying it’s bad either. It’s the kind that may seem like a good Catholic school when really it is the kind of school that tricks parents. It’s thinking that their child is secure at a Catholic school, but even though I am not Catholic, I know for a fact that this is kind of not true because my daughter would continue to, say how she didn’t like any of her classmates or her teachers thank God she no longer in that school.

My cousin went to this school and had the worst experience ever. This School has the worst lunches I could ever imagine they are either frozen or moldy or even unseasoned. And most of the kids there are bullies and the principal doesn’t even care or does nothing about it. I am tired of seeing my cousin when she comes home because she doesn’t wanna go to school. I am no longer going to let her stay at this school.

School is amazing and cares deeply about students , Emotionally, and mentally. My kids are personally thriving here and getting an excellent education experience. Teachers and administration genuinely love their jobs and kids can feel that enthusiasm I highly recommend the school to anyone in the area.

The teachers in this school, for the most part, lack the commitment to educate the students. When students ask questions in the classroom about doubts they have or explanations they need to understand the material, the majority of the teachers respond with a poor attitude. They also do not provide excellent reviews before students take exams. I also disagree with the teachers using YouTube or internet videos in the classroom for students to understand the material, instead of delivering the lesson themselves. I do not recommend this school. Most of the teachers lack vocation. Some teachers fail to input grades into the Powerschool system on time, which prevents us parents from tracking our children's progress. They lack organization. They claim that grades will be available in the system on a certain day, yet there are teachers who do not enter the grades.

Our son attended Discovery School from 3rd-6th grade and we're so thankful for the education he received. I can't say enough positive things about the entire staff and this school. Absolutely the best private school and IB learning experience in this area.
